Ben grew up on his family's farm north of Peoria, Ill., and became a believer at a young age. He attended Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate degree and later moved to Austin to attend UT to study city planning and urban design. Ben now works for the City of Austin in the Planning & Zoning Department.
