Serve In The Church at All Saints

Serve in the Church

Immediate Needs

While there are many places you can serve within the church, below are some of the areas in which we have immediate need for volunteers:

  • Children's Ministry Hallway Coordinator
  • Communion Preparation
  • Meal Ministry / Care Calendar Team
  • Office Receptionist

Below are just a few ways to serve the community of All Saints. Not only for ourselves but also that we may serve others in the community and around the world. If you have a heart to serve or gifts that you are able to use within the church, please let us know. Contact Sonya Menges with an area in which you would like to serve, and she will have the appropriate person contact you.

Sundays & Beyond

Children's Ministry

There are a number of ways, from Sundays to weekdays, that you can get involved with our Children’s Ministry!

Meal Ministry / Care Calendar Team

This is the place to actively serve those who are living through a period of particular need, such as an illness, surgery, or new baby. Whatever the case, opportunities exist to deliver a meal or provide for other needs of All Saints members and attenders.

Office Receptionist

This is a new role in our new building! Office receptionists staff the front desk of the church office during business hours.

They receive guests, answer the phones, and generally present a warm, welcoming, and professional presence to any one who enters our doors or contacts the church.

Communion Preparation

At All Saints we celebrate the Eucharist (i.e. Communion, Lord’s Supper) every Sunday during worship as well as seasonally on Wednesdays at our noon service.

Communion preparation teams make this possible! Teams of two or more people serve together setting the Altar table before the service and cleaning up after the service.

This is a great place for couples, families, or friends to serve together and contribute to an essential part of our worship service.

Greeter team

Greeter team volunteers typically serve once every 6-8 weeks at the service time of their preference (9:15 or 11:00) and are asked to arrive 30 minutes early and rotate with other Greeter team members.

You are the first face of All Saints to newcomers and to members! Be kind, engaging and friendly. Be ready to answer questions and give directions (bathroom, children’s area, coffee, etc). Direct new guests to the Welcome Table and remain at the doors until 10 minutes after worship has started; then you are free to enter the sanctuary for worship!

Every Sunday All Saints collects offerings during worship and whatever is collected is brought forward and placed on the Altar table symbolizing the church body offering back to God what he has given us.

We love for our entire church body - men, women, youth, single, married - to be represented in the people who collect the offerings.

The offertory takes place during the service. Those who are helping are assigned an aisle and help pass the baskets along the rows.

Ushers typically serve 3-4 times per semester at the service time of their preference (9:15 or 11:00) and are asked to arrive 30 minutes early and rotate with other Usher team members.

Usher duties include: Passing out bulletins, helping with seating the elderly and latecomers if needed, and managing the service (i.e. headcount, man the doors, usher communion, offertory).

Welcome Table

Welcome Table volunteers typically (if their schedule allows) serve for one month at a time, twice a year. This role requires being informed on all the current church events, so serving 1 month at a time (as opposed to a 6-8 week rotation) helps volunteers be most informed and knowledgeable on what’s going on that month.

As a Welcome Team member, you’ll need to be familiar with current church events and ways to get involved. Keep your eyes peeled for new guests and make them feel welcome, informed, and comfortable!
