Leadership Candidates 2026

On Sunday, June 14, All Saints will hold a congregational vote to elect the following candidates for the office of elder and deacon and the role of deaconess. Read more about each candidate below.

All candidates have been interviewed and approved by the All Saints Session. You may vote for any or all candidates in each category. You must be a member of All Saints to vote.

Elder Candidates

(from the Liturgy of Ordination: Explanation and Charge)
It belongs to those in the office of elder, both severally and jointly, to watch diligently over the flock committed to his charge, that no corruption of doctrine or of morals enter therein. You must exercise government and discipline, and take oversight not only of the spiritual interests of the particular church, but also the Church generally when called thereunto. You are to visit the people at their homes, especially the sick. You are to instruct the ignorant, comfort the mourner, nourish and guard the children of the Church. You are to pray with and for the people, being careful and diligent in seeking the fruit of the Word and Sacraments among the flock. You are to love and serve the people among whom you work, caring alike for young and old, strong and weak, rich and poor. In all that you do, you are to nourish Christ's people from the riches of his grace, and strengthen them to glorify God in this life and in the life to come.
Erick Allen
Erick grew up in the Northwest Hills area of Austin and went to the University of Texas, where he met his wife, Jodi. They raised their children (Marshall, Foster, and Riley) here in Austin and are blessed to have all three live close by. Marshall and his wife, Francesca, have a  2-year-old, Oliver, who brings big smiles and great joy to the whole family. Jodi and Erick started attending All Saints in 2018 when they moved from Central Austin to Southwest Austin.

Deacon Candidates

(from the Liturgy of Ordination: Explanation and Charge)
In the name of Jesus Christ, you are to serve all people, particularly the poor, the weak, the sick, and the lonely.
As a deacon in the Church, you are to study the Holy Scriptures, to seek nourishment from them, and to model your life upon them. You are to make Christ and his redemptive love known, by your word and example, to those among whom you live, and work, and worship. And you are to interpret to the Church the needs, concerns, and hopes of the world. It is also your duty as a deacon to develop the grace of liberality in the members of the church, to devise effective methods of collecting the gifts of the people, and to distribute these gifts according to the purposes for which they are contributed. At all times, your life and teaching are to show Christ's people that in serving the helpless they are serving Christ himself.
Jon D'Andrea
Jon is originally from Houston, but Austin has been his home for more than 20 years. Jon and his wife, Jessie, have been members of All Saints since 2015, and they're grateful to be raising their three children-- Luke, Jake, and Kate-- in this community. He works in finance, and, outside the office, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Most weekends, though, you’ll usually find him at a field, court, or gym cheering on his kids.
Ryan Gaertner
Ryan grew up in Columbus, Texas and has lived in Austin since attending college at UT.  His wife, Emily, is a former preschool director at All Saints, and they've been active members at All Saints since 2008.  They have two daughters-- Emma attends UT Austin, and Mary Clarie is a junior in high school.  He works in the tech industry and enjoys spending time mountain biking, traveling, and boating on Lake Travis.
John Molbert
John is a "Ragin’ Cajun," having grown up in the bayous of southern Louisiana. Joan and John moved to Austin after he retired eleven years ago to live near their daughter’s family. Their home continues to be within walking distance of  All Saints church. They became All Saints members in the spring of 2020. He is in the church choir, serves on the Missions committee, and is deeply honored to have been invited to become a deacon to serve our church family.
Allen Payne

Allen has enjoyed serving and participating in the church in many ways over the years, including greeting and ushering, communion setup, a stint as a roaming guitar song leader for Children’s Church, attending men’s Bible studies, and even being on staff part-time taking care of odd jobs around the church campus. Allen enjoys spending time outdoors, weekly basketball, chocolate chip cookies with BlueBell Homemade Vanilla (BBHMV), and spending time with his family.
Austin Sloan
Austin grew up in a small town in Missouri. In 2021, he married his wife, Michelle, and the two moved to Austin — a city he insists was not named after him. They have been part of the All Saints community ever since and have three children: Katherine (3), Margo (1), and John (2 months).
Jeff Stewart
Born and raised in Dallas, Jeff and his wife Claire have called All Saints their church home since 2018. Jeff studied at the University of Texas at Austin and upon graduating began working in commercial real estate, currently at Seco Ventures, a local development firm. Jeff and Claire have two daughters, Lila (3.5) and Daisy (1). Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, reading, hiking, and fly fishing.

Deaconess Candidates

As with deacons, in the name of Jesus Christ, deaconesses are to serve all people, particularly the poor, the weak, the sick, and the lonely. Deaconesses come along side the deacons and elders to serve the church, giving particular attention and care to the women of the church.

As a deaconess, you are to study the Holy Scriptures, to seek nourishment from them, and to model your life upon them. You are to make Christ and his redemptive love known, by your word and example, to those among whom you live, and work, and worship.
